Lantern Making at Wakehurst

We had a wonderful opportunity to visit Wakehurst and take part in a lantern-making workshop inspired by their magical Glow Wild trail.

During the workshop, we discovered how some of the beautiful glowing lanterns are created, exploring the materials and techniques used by the team behind Glow Wild.

We then had the chance to get creative and make lanterns of our own, which will become part of the Glow Wild trail. We’re looking forward to returning in a few months’ time and seeing if we can spot our creations glowing amongst the displays!

It was a lovely hands-on experience, full of creativity, learning and fun. We really enjoyed working together, trying something new and getting a glimpse behind the scenes of one of Wakehurst’s most spectacular winter events.

A big thank you to the Wakehurst team for welcoming us and sharing their skills and ideas with us!
