Support Our Building Fund Appeal
A new 6-bedroom dwelling will provide modern and eco-friendly shared living accommodation for residents and their support staff.
Since 1959 Nutley Hall has been delivering special residential care for adults with learning disabilities.
Our emphasis is on community and shared living, where the uniqueness of each person is recognized and respected. Today we are at full capacity with 33 residents and support staff.
Over time the needs of our residents have changed, as have the government’s regulatory requirements. As a result we now need to update and develop our facilities.
Planning consent has already been granted for a new residential home set above a sunny and productive ½ acre site with views towards Ashdown Forest.
Our commitment to work holistically with the land and the natural environment. The new building will emphasise our ecological values.
The project will enhance the use of the attached land, enlarging the garden area by about 1/2 an acre. This will enable us to grow more of our own food and offer more land based activities, such as beekeeping.

The New Building Will Allow Us To
- Offer single rooms to all out residents (currently we have 3 shared rooms), in line with current guidelines from the Care Quality Commision.
- Adapt some of the existing accommodation for residents with higher mobility needs.
Will you help us to complete the funding?
Our fundraising target is £300.000.
We had an amazing reponse to our appeal and we were so far able to raise more than £243,000. With about 6 months to completion we will continue with our fundraising effort.
