Community outing to Hever Castle

Hever Castle was the chosen destination of this year’s community outing. Though relatively close-by we enjoyed a lovely ride on the coach in the Kent country side. Hever Castle was glowing in the warm sunshine. All who tried managed to find their way into (and out of!) the maze and most of us managed to remain dry at the water maze. We visited the impressive castle where Anne Boleyn spent her early youth.  We walked in the immaculate grounds – the Italian  gardens, the lakes and wooded areas. We enjoyed a picnic lunch, tea, ice-cream and , of course,  a visit to the souvenir shop.

A lovely day all-round.
